When we talk about Johnny Donaldson, we have to realize that there are two Johnny Donaldsons - Johnny, Sr., who played Major League Baseball for the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics and Johnny, Jr., who is a professional trainer for several prominent professional and amateur U.S. athletes. I will try to feature both.

Johnny with the Oakland A's

News release photo of Johnny, Sr.,
while with the Kansas City and, later,
the Oakland A's (forgive the scan
quality).

Oakland A's 1968

Johnny (starting second baseman) is third from right on second row. Note that the coaches of the Oakland team are Sherm Lollar and Joe Dimaggio. Again, forgive the scan quality of the photo.

Johnny was a "stellar" second baseman in Major League baseball. But league expansion/team moves, team financial difficulties, and personal injuries were to prove devastating to Johnny's career.

Alvin Dark (who was Johnny's coach/manager in Kansas City) often spoke highly of Johnny, saying such things as, "He has the fastest hands in baseball." Johnny was one of the best at turning double plays!

His stats can be viewed by going to CNN/Sports Illustrated at:

Johnny is extremely strong. In addition to being quite a good baseball player (he entertained the possibility of professional baseball for several years), Johnny has been a professional trainer, and body guard, for many notable celebrities, such as the Carolina Panthers and Jimmy Buffet. Johnny has, also, been a bouncer for several nightclubs in the Carolinas.

He has been a bodyguard for Karl Hankton (wide-receiver for the Carolina Panthers), Issac Byrd (wide-receiver for the Carolina Panthers), Rhonda Mapp (WNBA-center for the Charlotte Sting), Pernell Whittaker ("Sweet Pea"-six time Lightweight world champion, Junior Welterweight champion, Welterweight champion, Super Welterweight champion, Junior Middleweight champion, Middleweight champion, and 1984 Gold medalist Olympic Light weight champion), Sean Casey (All-Star first baseman for the Cincinnatti Reds), Dwight Stone (wide-receiver New York Jets), Calvin Brock (2000 US Olympian), as well as many others.

Johnny is always looking for new
clients to help them "grow"
physically, in order to better
meet their competition requirements.
